No one can Break Kumar Sanu’s Guinness Book of World Records Till Date

Kumar Sanu is one of the most talented and popular Indian playback singers of Bollywood, who mainly sings for Hindi and Bengali Films. Not just that, the singer who also sung in over 30 Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi and so on, has a very special honor to his name. Still, He holds the Guinness Book of world record  since 1993 for recording the maximum number of songs by the singer in a Single day in 24 hours, which are 28 and still that record has not been broken by anyone and that was the very pride movement for our country.

He was born on 23rd September 1957 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India and was named Kedarnath Bhattacharjee, better known as Kumar Sanu. His father, PashupatiBhattacharjee was a famous classical singer and composer who noticed his son’s talent as a singer and tabla player at a very young age. After getting a degree in commerce from Kolkata University, Sanu began performing publicly in the year 1979 and starts singing at shows and restaurants which heavily influenced by film legend, Kishore Kumar.

He waits for several years to get his big break. He made his living in the early ’80s partly by recording a series of Kishore Kumar covers for a pop label. He was waiting for a chance in the film. Finally, in the year 1987, music director Jagjit Singh offered Kumar Sanu the chance to sing in the Hindi film Andhiyan. Then he relocated to Mumbai, also known as Mayanagri or as the film capital of India and soon he gets another film, Jadoogar, helmed by the Kalyanji/Anandji team;

They gave him his stage name. Film fans began to take notice, poising him for a major breakthrough. That breakthrough came in the year 1990 with the film “Aashiqui”, whose soundtrack was composed and directed by the Nadeem/Shravan team.He sang all but one of the songs featured on the soundtrack album, which made him a star. He won the first Filmfare awards as Best Male Playback Singer for the film “Aashiqui” in 1990. He is popular for rendering his voice in Bollywood movies of the 1990s and early 2000s. He recorded thousands of songs, reaching by his opinion over 8,000 by the turn of happiness. He has quite a few achievements to his name. He won the Film Fare Best Male Playback Singer Award for five back-to-back years. He received the Padma Shri award in the year 2009, India’s 4th highest civilian honor given by the Government of India.

Seeking new challenges, he tried into acting and performing in a Bengali film and also starting television serials in both Bengali and Hindi.

He judged some musical reality shows. He sang the title song for the TV show “YehDuniyaGazab Ki” with singer Udit Narayan.

In 2017, Kumaar Sanu with Sadhna Sargam sung for the title track of 19s Story-based TV Series “YehUnDinon Ki BaatHain” and also arrived as a part for a cameo in it.

In 2019, KumaarSanu made a little singing for the Star Plus’s series “Kulfi Kumarr Bajewala”. In 2014, he recorded an album named “Hum Aur Tum”.

He also recorded a Spanish song Amor in the album. Popularly he is known as the melody king.

Sanu is a trustee and Brand Ambassador of Bishwa Bandhan, the foundation for cerebral palsy.

Sanu opened a primary school, Kumar SanuVidyaNiketan for needy children in Karol Bagh, Delhi, India, and their students get uniforms and books free of cost.

After a long time, his comeback in the year 2012, was Rowdy Rathore’s “Chhamak Challo Chail Chabeeli” song, a duet with Shreya Ghoshal.
