No one can Break Kumar Sanu’s Guinness Book of World Records To Date

Kumar Sanu is one of the most talented and popular Indian playback singers of Bollywood who mainly sings for Hindi and Bengali Films. He holds the Guinness Book of world records since 1993 for recording the maximum number of songs by the singer in a Single day in 24 hours. This record has not been broken by anyone and that was the very pride movement for our country.

Kumar Sanu was born on 23rd September 1957 in Kolkata, West Bengal and was named as Kumar Sanu. His father was a famous classical singer and composer who noticed his son’s talent as a singer. After getting a degree in commerce from Kolkata University he began performing publicly in the year 1979 and started singing at shows and restaurants which were heavily influenced by film legend, Kishore Kumar.

Kumar waits for several years to get his big break. Sanu made his living in the early ’80s partly by recording a series of Kishore Kumar covers for a pop label. After he was waiting for a chance in the film. Finally, in the year 1987, music director Jagjit Singh offered him the chance to sing in the Hindi films. Then he relocated to Mumbai and soon he gets another film.

His Legacy

They gave him his stage name. Film fans began to take notice, poisoning him for a breakthrough which came in the year 1990 with the film Aashiqui, whose soundtrack was composed and directed by the Nadeem and Shravan team. Sanu sang all but one of the songs featured on the soundtrack album, which made him a star. Afterward, Sanu won the first Filmfare awards as Best Male Playback Singer for the film “Aashiqui” in 1990.

Kumar is popular for rendering his voice in Bollywood movies of the 1990s and early 2000s. The studio recorded thousands of songs, reaching his opinion over 8,000 by the turn of happiness. This man won the Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer Award five back-to-back years. He received the Padma Shri award in the year 2009, India’s 4th highest civilian honor given by the Government of India.

Seeking new challenges, he tried acting and performing in a Bengali film and also started television serials in both Bengali and Hindi.  He sang the title song for the TV shows with singer Udit Narayan.

He also recorded a Spanish song Amor in the album. Popularly he is known as the melody king. Sanu is a trustee and Brand Ambassador of the foundation for cerebral palsy.

Sanu opened a primary school, Kumar Sanu Vidya Niketan for needy children in Delhi and their students get uniforms and books free of cost. After a long time, his comeback in the year 2012, in a duet with Shreya Ghoshal.
