Ambadevi Temple
Ambadevi Temple is situated at the heart of the city at Gandhi Square. It is one of the top places to visit in Amravati, a very old temple, and can find mentioned in the old gazetteers. History Behind Temple:
Rukmini, the daughter of King Bhishmak of Vidarbha, hears tales of Krishna’s courage. She falls in love with him. Her brother Rukmiya, arranges Rukmini’s marriage to his friend, King Shishupal of Chedi.
Rukmini secretly sends a message to Krishna, and together they plan to elope. The day before her marriage to Shishupal, Rukmini visits the temple of Goddess Ekvira. (This is in Amravati, Maharashtra) Krishna kidnaps Rukmini here. With help from other Yadav, Krishna defeats Rukmini’s brother Rukmiya. King Bhishmak, later arranges the marriage ceremony.

It is 1 Km towards West from Amravati Railway station & 1.5 Km. from Amravati Bus Stand. An ample number of local vehicles and taxis are available from Amravati Railway station & Bus Stand. The Vehicles and Taxis are also available from Badnera railway station.
Bamboo Garden Amravati
Bamboo garden is located on Old by pass, Vita Bhatti Road, Laghuvetan Colony, Amravati. It is well connected via all means of transport. Badnera Junction Stationâ is the nearest railway station being 15 kms away. The garden comprises bamboo hut, bamboo bridges, bamboo cave, bamboo forest information centre, cactus garden, lotus garden, childrenâs park. People can see Vanchetana Kendra, Nakshatra Van along with children’s park in the garden. The garden is adorned by two beautiful lakes – Wadali lake and the Futka lake which add to the picturesque charm of the garden. The lakes also provide a bird watch point in all seasons.

Wadali Lake is a reservoir built in the Chandur rail road built with the purpose of serving clean and fresh water to the locals which is just 3 km away from Amravati city.
