Rohit Sharma was born on 30 April 1987 in Bansod, Nagpur, Maharashtra. His mother Purnima Sharma is from Visakhapatnam. His father Gurunath Sharma worked as a caretaker of a transport firm storehouse. Sharma joined a cricket camp in 1999 with his uncle’s money.

 Rohit Sharma met Ritika Sajdeh as the rakhi sister of star Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh in 2008. Ritika was a part of his brother’s sports management company Cornerstone Sport. Initially, she used to have meetings with Rohit as Sports Manager then the duo turned into friends. Friends to best friends, best friends to love birds and love birds to married couple, their love story went through all the steps. The couple tied the knot on 13 December 2015 after dating for 6 years. In 2018, Ritika and Rohit were blessed with a baby girl who was later named Samaira. Rohit Sharma made his ODI debut against team Ireland, in 2007. He was then retained in the team for the next game against South Africa and made only 8 runs. Rohit made his T20 debut against team England in ICC World Cup T20 in 2007 but still didn’t get to bat. But luckily he was included in the cricketer Yuvraj Singh got injured. He used the opportunity well and made 50 not out, becoming Man of The Match. Then in 2013, he made his Test debut against the West Indies team. He then made 177 runs and followed it with unbeaten 111 runs in the next match at Mumbai.
