Pachmarhi:

The name Pachmarhi is believed to be derived from the Hindi word Panch means five and Marhi means caves. According to people, these caves were built by five Pandava brothers of the Mahabharatha era during the thirteen to fifteen years of exile.

It is widely known as Satpura ki rani. It is a mountainous cool place in Hoshangabad district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Pachmarhi is a very good place to visit in winter. The place connects us to nature. There are many wild animals like lions, leopards, chital, sambar, chinkara, bear, and Nilgai in the forest here

By Train:-

There are so many trains between Mumbai and Pachmarhi. The nearest railway station from Pachmarhi is at Paparia.

Bus transport is regularly available for all states to reach Pachmarhi. Uber cars and taxis can also be hired for this journey.

Best time to visit Pachmarhi

The best time to visit Pachmarhi is October to March with good and enjoyable weather as well. If you spend quality time with your family and friends then Pachmarhi is best for you.

Pandava caves:-

These are the famous five caves of this region, on the basis of which the name Pachmarhi is derived. It is believed that Pandavas spent some time here during their exile. These caves are of normal configuration and in some. A pillared verandah is constructed. In the front part of cave number two, a simple chaitya window can be seen. The entrance of the chamber of cave number three is decorated with branches, in which small deity figures are woven in the lower part. Cave number three has an engraved inscription, on which it is written that engraved Bhagavad Kena means this cave by a person named Bhagvak. Vania, who was probably a monk. Based on this, they must have been built in the Gupta period (4th or 5th century AD). On this basis, these caves can be related to Buddhism.

Rajat prapat waterfall

Rajat prapat/silver fall big fall around 350 ft. Rajat Prapat looks like a silver little stone that falls straight into the forests. It looks very beautiful. It is the 30th highest waterfall in India.

Satpura National Park:-

Satpura Tiger Reserve also known as Satpura National Park is located in the Hoshangabad District (newly named Narmadapuram ) of Madhya Pradesh in India. Satpura is full of diversity Satpura National Park is rich in biodiversity. There are sambar, chital, chinkara, wild boar, black buck, fox, flying squirrel, leopard, and Indian giant squirrel, in that diversity there are many medicinal plants and grasses.

Chota Mahadev:-

Chota Mahadeo is also known as Gupta Mahadeo. It is a few meters walk from the parking lot and then you come to a hanuman statue. where there is a narrow cave opening, only 7-8 people can be allowed inside. The Gupta Mahadeo is a very mysterious cave.

Bada Mahadeo:-

Bada Mahadeo is one of the historic temples in this town and is dedicated to lord shiva. It’s a very cold place. at a distance of 10 to 11 km from the Pachmarhi bus stand. Many people must visit the Bada Mahadev cave. it is a cave that has a shivling in it. water keeps dropping through the wall of the cave and there is a pool in the center.

Dhoopgarh:-

Dhoopgarh is the highest point in Mahadeo hill, Madhya Pradesh, India. located in Pachmarhi hoshangabad district, Visited Dhoopgarh its an excellent place and must be visited. and the Dhoopgarh is a popular attraction because of the sunset and sunrise. It is the most beautiful thing I have seen.

Jatashankar caves:-

The Jatashankar caves are considered very sacred places as the caves are believed to be the spot where Lord Shiva concealed himself from the wrath of Bhasmasur. one of the popular places to visit in Pachmarhi. Shivaratri is the important festival celebrated in this temple

Handi Khoh:-

This place is on your way to Bada Mahadeo. Handi Khoh is also known as a suicide point. There is a very deep valley that is the reason they call him suicide point. This is a wonderful view to see natural beauty.

Bee fall:-

Bee fall is a beautiful fall. Many people go there and must visit the bee falls. Bee falls is one of the popular places to visit. There are 475+ steps.

Priyadarshani Point:-

The older name of this point is Forsyth Point. This place is named after our former prime minister Indira Gandhi visited this place. This is a nice place to see the beauty of nature, here we can see the sunrise and sunset.

Christ Church:-

Christ Church is a true colonial architecture of the British era, the church is an architectural marvel. The Pachmarhi board says the Christ church was open only Sunday morning.
