Instructions
1. Make the Biscuit Dough
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add golden syrup and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If too dry, add 1 tbsp milk.
2. Shape and Bake
Roll out the dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut into rectangular shapes.
Use a fork or toothpick to prick small holes on top (for the classic Bourbon biscuit look).
Place on the baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes.
