Shegaon attracts visitors, especially pilgrims, because of the Gajanan Maharaj Temple. The Temple is the focal point of most of the town's activities, making it a well-known pilgrimage destination in Maharashtra. Shri Gajanan Maharaj has a strong devotion, and many pilgrims visit the temple on a daily basis.
There are a few private paid parking lots near the temple, although the rates are on the high side. Outside the temple compound, the atmosphere is tumultuous. Inside the temple complex, though, the scene is much different.
