Sant Gadge Maharaj Punyatithi, Gadge Baba, also known as Warkari Sant Tukaram, was an influential Indian saint and poet of the 17th century.

Tukaram was born in 1608 in Dehu, a small village near Pune in Maharashtra, India. He was an ardent devotee of Vitthala, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. 

 He is also remembered for his social reform initiatives, which included criticizing the caste system and advocating for equal rights for all, He died in 1649.
