History Of HVPM
Hanuman Mandal is a premier institute of physical education in India. It is located in Maharashtra in Amravati city near the Amba Devi temple. It is for its sports activities. It was set up by Mr. Anant Vaidya and Mr. A. Vaidya around 1914. Previously it was Hanuman ground. Various political leaders and freedom fighters visit here.
It is a Shivaram Raj guru who studied here the time during his hideout, Chandrashekhar Azad also stayed here for a few days. It also has a management committee.
HVPM is a Voluntary, Social, Non-Political & Secular Institute, managed with democratic principles & practices. It provides different types of education namely. It has 12 acres campus size of 12 acres and it has many sports such as Hockey, shooting, boxing, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Horse Riding, Swimming, Handball, etc. They are played in HVPM.
And there are not only students from Amravati but also from all over India. They are from the northeast such as Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya, etc.
Location:
HVPM is its great and famous swimming pool which is water polo, a beautiful and energetic sport. It has a huge cricket ground also where state-level matches are being played and Kabaddi is also the main sport of it.

Shree H. V. P. Mandal, Amravati, was in 1914 and is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 and Societies Registration Act 1860. It is a Voluntary, Social, Non-Political & Secular Institute, managed with democratic principles & practices. It is founded by Vaidya Brothers with their colleagues, and freedom fighters on the broader principles of equality, fraternity & social justice.
Importance:
Honorable National leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Dr. Rajendra Prasad visited & blessed this organization. Martyrs Raj guru & D.S. Deshpande was the two illustrious students of this institution. To standardize and popularize India’s traditional system of physical culture and develop sport and allied science and employ them strategically for the welfare of the masses.
Institute has timely organized various tours in India as well as abroad (U.S.A., Berlin, U.S.S.R., Finland, France, Japan, England, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, etc.) for the Propagation of Indian Traditional sport since the year 1928.
After Independence, to propagate traditional Indian Sports and Yoga, the Mandal concentrated its efforts on the training of teachers in Physical Education and Yoga, and gradually diversified its activities to the field of Ayurvedic medicine, tribal and school education, and Engineering and Technology.
The work of the Mandal has an appreciation by many organizations and received honors in the form of awards and certificates from time to time.
