The Temple is inspired by and created in memory of HH Yogiji Maharaj (1892-1971 CE). Akshardham Temple was built by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS). Basically, the full name of Akshardham Temple is Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. It is located in Delhi, India.
This temple was built according to the Pancharatra and Vastu Shastra. The exquisite temple is dedicated to Swaminarayan, an Indian yogi and spiritual soul who existed during the 18th century.
Additionally, the height of the temple is 43 meters. Another is constructed of Italian Carrara marble and Rajasthani pink sandstone. Besides Akshardham Temple is the world’s largest comprehensive Hindu temple to the Guinness World Record. Delhi’s Akshardham temple is known for its beauty, unique exhibitions, sprawling campus, and peace.
