The chef gave me one starter – Jakarta Laksa, Fresh Fig Salad, Beetroot Ravioli, Meen Polichadha and a Kiwi Mint Cooler.I loved all the dishes but some more than others, stay tuned for the one I recommend the most

Less Polichadh
When in Chennai, never leave the city without trying some seafood. It was a treat that I highly recommend to all, one should never miss this dish from The Flying Elephant Chennai.

I've tried fish from many places and never really liked it. But when Chef Balaji presented this delicious fish wrapped in a plantain leaf seasoned with shallots, country tomatoes and coconut milk, I was intrigued.

Salads and main course
Vegetarian Jakarta Laksa was the first Asian dish served by the chef and as the name suggests, it is vegetarian in origin. The plate arrived with feta cheese, galangal, lemongrass, shallots and kaffir lime leaf dressing along with rice noodles. The dish is served with a flavored coconut soup, which enhanced the taste of Laska.

Desserts
This is one of the most popular desserts of The Flying Elephant Chennai. The delicacy is not moose, but rather a bit thicker than the same. The chocolate cream is served with melba toast and can easily be enjoyed with the toast without the need for a spoon. The cream is flavored with sea salt and vanilla oil to give the cream a unique taste.

The Flying Elephant in Chennai is reasonably priced in the slightly higher range of fine dining. The price range for two will cost roughly around ₹3500 or $50 or it may go up a bit depending on the number of people or special dishes.
